🌼Flower Power!🌼

Our April weather in the Pacific Northwest has brought to mind the springtime rhyme, "April showers bring may flowers". Things are blooming, and there is color budding everywhere!

This month, I thought it would be fun to explore, "decorating with flowers"!

Not only can you bring in beautiful bouquets, flowers can be brought into our homes with artwork, pillows and even food!

Bring flowers to your decor with your candles! Quick and easy DIY! Simply layer wax paper over desired dried, pressed floral arrangement, hold paper in place and blow with craft heat gun. When wax is transferred, remove!

Don't you love a good coffee table book?

Well bring in the flower power to your home with 100 Flowers, by famed artist Georgia O'Keefe! Just leave open at your favorite flower!

Wreaths are an easy way to bring in the florals!

DIY Hydrangea Wreath, below is so easy! I love that it is all one color, and the faux blossoms are so realistic! Put it on the door, above the mantel or hang over your bed!

Bring flowers in with beautiful artwork!!

☀️Floral fragrance!!!

Bring in the fresh scent of Provence into your home with lavender, which has calming qualities.

Williams Sonoma offers a wonderful lavender diffuser. It is worth spending a little more to get a high quality oil. Some artificial lavender oils are a bit harsh. When the scent gets weak, simply turn the rods over, no flames!

I keep one in my bedroom, it is such a lovely fragrance to fall asleep to.

Add flowers to your food!🌼🌼🌼

Do your research and make sure your flowers are edible before consuming.

🌹I hate to throw away bouquets when they get tired. So every now and again I will dry the buds out and display them in a wall hanging. As they dry they give off a rosie scent and retain their color by hanging upside down.
